Through inspections, advisory services, education and training, testing, auditing and analytics, certification software solutions, and marketing claim verification, UL is a standard-bearer when it comes to lending credibility to billions of products world wide.
For more than 120 years, they've helped companies demonstrate safety, confirm compliance, enhance sustainability, manage transparency, deliver quality and performance, strengthen security, protect brand reputation, build workplace excellence, and advance societal well being.
But what can we learn from a UL study on commercial refrigeration?
For starters, a UL study can provide verification that a system meets certain specifications. From government regulations to backing up marketing claims to meeting consumer expectations, UL testing and certifications create confidence in a product or solution.
When you look at the numbers, UL marks appear on nearly 22 billion products worldwide in more than a hundred different countries. Within these locations, there are 170 UL laboratories that are used for testing and certification.
What did we learn when we sent Eco-Cool to a UL lab for an energy study?
To find out how we measure up, we sent our RDT Eco-Cool equipment to the UL test labs. In comparison, they analyzed a conventional rack system with six compressors, and then they tested an Eco-Cool system with a single digital compressor.
Despite the decrease in equipment load, UL energy test results showed a savings of 48 percent with the Eco-Cool commercial refrigeration system from RDT. But this was just the beginning.
